GBP Products — every product with image, price, and full description
The Products section in GBP sits between a service catalog and a mini-storefront. Each product gets an image, name, category, price, and description. Empty in 90% of profiles. I set up to 50 products with images and pricing, refresh monthly. ₪680 setup + ₪220/month.
Why GBP Products matter
- ✓ Products appear directly in Local Pack with image and price — visual CTR rises 40-60% vs text-only
- ✓ Gemini pulls Products data when answering "where to buy X in [city]"
- ✓ Products are indexed in Google Shopping (free section) even without Merchant Center connection
- ✓ Empty Products section = missed visibility on every product-intent search in your category
GBP Products sits halfway between a service list and a mini-store. Each product carries an image, name, category, price, and description. Up to 50 products per profile. For ecommerce stores, beauty salons, restaurants (menu), and professionals selling packaged services, the Products section is one of the highest-leverage fields on the entire profile.
Selection comes first. Together we pick the 30-50 products or packaged services that belong on the profile. Each one gets a square 600×600 image, a title written in real-search phrasing (the way customers actually type it), a 100-200 character description, a category, and a price or starting price. Everything goes into GBP and gets verified live in the Local Pack.
Monthly refresh keeps the section ranking. Google rewards fresh Products updates — a profile that adds new products every month outranks a static one with the exact same content over time.
Up to 50 products with images
600×600 image per product, real-search-phrasing title, 100-200 character description, precise category and price.
Pricing strategy
Together we decide what publishes a price and what stays "contact for price" — usually high-margin items publish, customs stay quote-only.
Monthly refresh
Every month — 2-4 new products added, expired removed, prices updated by inventory. Google reads the freshness.
Google Shopping integration
Products from GBP appear in Google Shopping's free section even without Merchant Center — a second free traffic channel.

FAQ
Products vs Services — which?
Services for everything customers buy as a service (consultation, treatment, project). Products for physical items or packaged offers with a name and SKU. A bakery uses Products (loaves), a lawyer uses Services. Beauty salons usually use both.
Do I have to publish a price?
No — but products with a published price get 3-4x more clicks. The recommendation: physical products with low margin = publish. Packaged services with high variance = "from ₪X". Customs = "contact for quote".
Can I just import from my store?
Currently not via API. Google does have a Merchant Center sync option, but it requires separate integration. For a small store (under 50 SKUs) manual upload via GBP works perfectly.
