Move from slow WordPress to fast Astro - keep the SEO.
WordPress is great for content-heavy sites with frequent updates. For marketing sites, blogs, and brochure sites - Astro ships 10x faster pages at 1/10th the hosting cost. We handle the migration end-to-end: content, SEO, redirects, hreflang.
Static sites are quietly winning - because they actually work.
WordPress was built for an era when servers rendered pages on every request. That made sense in 2003 when content changed hourly. For most modern marketing sites - where the same page is served unchanged a million times - it is overkill. Every visit triggers PHP execution, database queries, and template rendering. The result is slow pages, expensive hosting, and constant update headaches.
Astro generates static HTML at build time. Every page is just an HTML file served from a CDN edge. There is no PHP, no database, nothing to break. Pages load in under a second. Hosting is free or nearly so. Plugins cannot crash you because there are none.
Migration is the bottleneck most owners worry about - but with proper redirect mapping, hreflang preservation, and schema carry-over, SEO survives the move and often improves. We have run dozens of migrations without ranking loss.

Post-migration monitoring

Frequently asked
Will I lose SEO rankings?
Done correctly, no - and many sites see ranking lift due to faster Core Web Vitals. Done badly, yes. The risk is in the redirect map. We map every old URL to its new URL with proper 301s and test before launch.
Why migrate to Astro at all?
Speed and cost. Astro pages load 5-10x faster than WordPress. Hosting cost drops from ₪150-500/mo (managed WP) to ₪0 (Cloudflare Pages free tier). Updates have zero risk of breaking the site. The trade-off is that content updates need either Git workflow or a CMS layer.
Can I still update content after migration?
Yes - we wire either markdown via Git (for technical clients) or a real CMS (Sanity, Contentful, Decap) for non-technical teams. Content updates are easier than WordPress in most cases.
What about my contact form, search, comments?
Forms: Resend, Formspree, or custom serverless function. Search: Pagefind (built-in) or Algolia. Comments: Disqus, Giscus (GitHub-based), or custom backend.
How long does migration take?
Brochure site: 3-4 weeks. Blog + rich content: 6-8 weeks. Complex sites with custom features: 12-16 weeks. We migrate in stages - old WordPress stays live until everything is verified.
Is there any case where I should NOT migrate?
Yes. If your team publishes 5+ pieces per week, WordPress is better (CMS workflow is more efficient). If your site relies on heavy WordPress plugins (membership, LMS, complex eCommerce), migration may not be cost-effective. We tell you honestly during discovery.
